Online Prayer Meeting
Sign up to Receive Prayer Meeting Emails
Our Thursday evening prayer meeting has returned to the building. We'll continue to host a Zoom meeting to allow those who are still unable, or are uncomfortable with attending in-person to participate.
To receive the link to join the Zoom meeting each week, please sign up to our email list using the form below.
We will be sharing meeting details by email only.
If you signed up during the previous lockdowns, you're still on the list and don't need to sign up again unless your details have changed.
Before you join
Get the Zoom app
If you're joining on a mobile or tablet, you'll need to download the Zoom App to join the prayer meetings.
The app is free and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
Find a quiet place
Ensure you're in a quiet place like a bedroom, home office, or study.
This will help you concentrate.
During the meeting
Mute your microphone when you're not talking
When you're not speaking, please mute your microphone to keep the overall volume down, and to minimise disruption.
Speak nice and clearly
Remember to unmute your microphone when you wish to speak, and speak nice and clearly so your voice is picked up properly.
Resolving technical issues
I didn't get a confirmation email when I filled out the form
This is likely because your email address is already on our list when we held our prayer meetings online last year.
If this is the case, then don't worry, we have your email address on our list and you'll receive the link to join the next online prayer meeting.
If you're unsure, please email info@lurganbaptist.church and we will check this for you.
I signed up and got the confirmation email, but did not get a prayer meeting invitation
This may be because you added your name to the list after we sent out the invitations for that week.
If you think this has happened to you, no problem! Please email info@lurganbaptist.church and we will forward the invitation to you before the meeting.
You will receive an email in the next batch of invitations next week as normal.
When I click the link in the email, nothing happens
The link in the email is a special kind of link that's designed to open the Zoom app automatically. For this to work correctly, you must have the Zoom app installed on your device.
Visit the Zoom Download page to download and install Zoom, and try clicking the link again.
If that still doesn't work, then you can join the meeting manually by entering the Meeting ID and Password included in the invitation email into the Zoom app.
I'm not recieving any emails about the prayer meeting
Please check your spam folder in case the emails have gone there. All of the emails will be sent from a lurganbaptist.church address, so please also ensure that this address is whitelisted.
Contact us if you need further assistance.
I need technical help
Please email us at info@lurganbaptist.church, or contact the deacons before the prayer meeting and we will do our best to assist you.
"And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence"
