As a result of ‘lockdown’ restrictions we have been unable to conduct many of our activities over the past year, but we felt we should update you on what has been taking place.

Several of our friends have been called home last year. Within the IEB family we thank God for Joan McAlister who led so much of our ministry, particularly in outreach, deputation work and visitation. We were also saddened by the passing of Marina McIlfatrick, wife of former chairman, Denzil. We are mindful of others within the wider IEB famil who are missing loved ones and we extend our prayerful sympathy to their friends and families.

John Johnston continues to work in the border counties, currently witnessing on the streets - this has given many opportunities to share the Good News. Presently John is on furlough due to government guidelines. Do pray for safety and divine opportunities.

Our bookshops in both Enniskillen and Cavan have been challenged by ‘lockdown’ measures but we believe it is important to have a Christian witness through the shops and we would encourage you to support these outreaches, prayerfully and financially. Currently both shops are temporarily closed. Each of the shops would value more volunteers.

Recently, through extremelygenerous financial support, some 23,500 Gospel calendars have been posted, using An Post, into homes of parts of counties Mayo and Donegal-please pray that they will be well received.

Donations to our postal ministry have been very generous and we plan (D.V.) to carry out another distribution of “Hope in a Troubled World” to approximately 600 000 homes in 2021. We hope that this will be accompanied by follow-up meetings.

We would love to be back to normal circumstances. This will entail a lot of work, and we covet your prayerful support as we seek to know God’s will for the future direction of the mission.
